KuCoin Shares (KCS) is a major utility token for traders on the KuCoin Exchange. The exchange has recently re-branded and added new features.

You can earn passive income just by holding KCS on the exchange, and being part of their Bonus scheme (more on this below).

It is a large and trusted exchange, and a good competitor to Binance, which is important. I personally like the interface and would say it’s a little smarter and more interesting.

Binance’s BNB utility coin has been on the rise lately, partly due to its Launchpad section (or ‘IEOs’ – Initial Exchange Offerings), bringing renewed interest in early stage crypto projects, after the ICO boom declined somewhat in 2018. BNB has also risen due to the launch of Binance DEX (decentralised exchange alternative) which should bring renewed trust and security to crypto-trading in general, although it may take some time.

It’s still early days in the crypto space. There’s no reason why KuCoin and KCS (see livechart) won’t experience some similar growth and success, especially with an attractive incentive program that rewards those who keep their KCS on its exchange.

KuCoin will still need to keep up though, as Binance re-invests continually in development.

The Bonus Scheme

Future…

Will there be a KuCoin DEX, or decentralised exchange on its own blockchain? Perhaps, but no news for now.

Btw, you can buy KCS on Binance if you still believe in the coin’s future, but don’t want to sign up to KuCoin’s exchange.
