Have discovered Soundtrap.com as a great new way of making personal music – and possibly collaborating too – online.

It’s a cloud-based, multi-platform tool that works easily on all my current devices. Plug in those instruments or just sing strangely at your device.

It seems to offer a v. accessible intro to original music production that also includes a large loop library. This is available from the word go, thanks to its complete and automatic trial basis.

I’ll still continue using Music Maker Jam (on my windows laptop) because the loop-based packages, creation and organisation are just so fun and easy. I would need a new laptop in order to use the full Music Maker… but for now Soundtrap fills the gap.
