The Long-HODL Crypto-Basket (Jan 2019)

Here is a quick round-up of the cryptocurrencies and tokens that I’m currently the most familiar with, and aim to cover in this blog, if I haven’t already.

Welcome to the Ade’s Crypto Press Portfolio here in January (and to be updated throughout 2019).

It is an ideal portfolio, as my real investment falls short of covering all these projects (thanks to discovering crypto after Dec 2017!!) ‘Long-HODL’ is also an ideal. In reality, I shift projects if they’re not turning out as expected, or if roadmaps change course in weird new directions.

As the blockchain space evolves, some of these projects may fall, succumbing to unexpected technological events, market lows, bad marketing, competition or other complications, while most are expected to see growth.

Strategy:
Simple trades for accumulation, or unsustainable spikes.
Due to infancy of market: invest and diversify in underlying tech, staking/passive income, personally useful (creative-focused), plus projects embedded into the space (such as decentralised exchanges etc.)
Take some gains from major spikes back into BTC / savings / USDC stablecoin and reinvest when prices pull back. Otherwise: HODL.

Jan 2019 market notes:
What is certain is that price doesn’t reflect value, as we witness coins ‘deflate’ less than others, due to more utility and reason for investors to hold. These may be major blockchain and dapp platforms. However, there are projects that have long-term value that investors don’t like to hold in the short-term, and/or with lesser widely-known value (eg. Stellar).
